Eric Renegar, known by many as “Rico,” serves as a Senior Account Executive at SALT, where he focuses on driving success for customers through targeted outbound dials, strategic campaigns, and marketing and sales consulting. In addition to his client-facing responsibilities, Eric plays an important role internally by mentoring teammates and supporting their growth and success within the organization.

Eric joined SALT in September 2024 after working as an Account Manager at a software firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina. His professional journey, however, began in a very different field.

Eric began his professional career in education as a high school math teacher and baseball coach. After spending four years in education, he decided it was time to pursue opportunities in the business world. That decision led him to roles in insurance and mobile sales before eventually joining a software startup in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Eric credits his time at Craftom with helping him develop many of the skills that ultimately brought him to SALT. Starting as a Business Development Representative at a small startup, he learned the realities of sales through experimentation, trial, and error. Those experiences taught him to be more intentional in his conversations and to take ownership of his processes.

As he developed professionally, Eric learned how to use strategic questioning as a tool to uncover pain points, interests, and needs from prospective customers. This approach allowed him to paint a picture of success for both himself and his prospects while helping customers feel heard, understood, and valued. Building trust and meaningful relationships became a cornerstone of his sales philosophy.

At SALT, Eric's primary responsibility is to drive success for customers through targeted outbound campaigns, sales initiatives, and marketing consulting. Equally important to him is his responsibility to mentor coworkers and act as a conduit for their growth and success.

His professional mindset is rooted in ownership and process. Drawing from his experience in startup sales environments, Eric constantly looks for ways SALT can operate more efficiently and establish repeatable workflows that strengthen long-term performance.

Eric believes heavily in ownership and process. Having previous experience in startup sales, he is always thinking of ways SALT can do things more efficiently and ultimately establish a process for that workflow.

"We don't know what we don't know. Sales and lead generation are not a perfect science and are always evolving. By staying on the cutting edge of processes, we can better position SALT for growth and success."


Outside of work, Eric enjoys a variety of hobbies and interests that reflect his love of the outdoors and personal growth.
